[P06] Join or Renew a Membership

Summary

An entrant joins an organisation or renews a membership from the site. The same register button, in membership mode, hands them to the portal’s membership registration.

Actor & Context

Actor: Entrant
Frequency: Seasonal peaks at the start of a membership period
Precondition: A membership period is open in EMS
Entry point: A register button set to membership on a membership page

Main Flow

  1. The entrant clicks the membership button.

  2. The hand-over works as for an event entry (P05), targeting the membership registration for the site’s organisation.

  3. The portal takes them through membership enrolment and on to payment (P07).

Alternative Flows

  • AF-1: No open period: the button says when the next period opens.

  • AF-2: Guest: as for P05.

Acceptance Criteria

  • The same sign-in choice and signed hand-over as P05 apply

  • The button reflects whether a period is open
